Tuesday's Skype Call
In the renowned 1939 classic film "The Wizard of Oz" Dorothy and her unorthodox gang, go on an adventure along the yellow brick road. Despite being an allegory for the political, economic and social events of America in the 1890s, at face value it is a wonderful story and it was truly brilliant filming of the day.
So what has this got to do with anything? Well, on Tuesday's Skype call we talked about "going off the path" so to speak. When Dorothy went off the path, she found herself in considerable trouble. Reading all this wonderful literature is great, but somewhat distracting. Many of us are finding that we are going, slightly off track. The key point that resonated with me was not to discourage yourself from reading and going down interesting avenues of adventure. But to stay focused and if inspired, you can always come back and explore it later.
After all, twelve weeks for a module really ins't long, so we have got to stay focused and question, what is really useful to you right not?
