Skype Call – 27th November 2019

The Skype call on Wednesday 27th November 2019 was an open discussion for all three modules. We discussed the journey of our practice and how this can be communicated in the form of an artefact.

We then discussed the importance of collaboration too. Remembering that success does not come alone. An artefact, also isn’t representative of just one person either, however, it must reflect yourself, as essentially, you are the heart of your practice. Charlie acknowledged she has learnt how to process information throughout the course and turn that into knowledge.

Then we thought about the importance of structuring an inquiry for those going into Module 2. A basic structure is key as the foundation to your inquiry. Once you have a structure, you are then able to veer off the path, reflect back and see the new pathways you have formed.  This is all part of the journey.

Ultimately, this course, the inquiry, the artefacts are all a narration of ourselves. They tell our story.

My Reflection

I have been reflecting upon the voice of my inquiry as a whole and my emotional placement within it. Have I forgotten my emotional response within my inquiry? Sometimes, I can be too black and white and forget what I feel about it all. What is the sensation that I feel from these connections?

Of course, I love what I do, it fills me with great passion and enthusiasm. I am not always sure this conveys through my writing, but I believe it will do through my artefact. I need to go back through my inquiry and think about my emotional responses and my placement within it all.

Expectation vs Reality

Related imageFor me, life never goes to plan. I am quite happy to make mistakes and learn from them. We must remember to be honest to our integrity. (What we actually did in our inquiry) Don’t be afraid to show our mistakes, those shifts of thought or process, these are often where the magic happens. We must remember to acknowledge the pathway we are on and the journey to the present moment. I hope this is something that is conveyed through my professional inquiry, artefact and presentation.

Dr Helen Kindred finished off with some words of wisdom; to remember honesty, generosity and trust.
