The Russian Doll Effect
The only words I can find to describe me figuring out my inquiry topic,
is in the words of William Shakespeare, well, Antipholus of Syracuse from the
Comedy of Errors to be precise. At the beginning of the play he describes:
“I to the world am like a
drop of water
That in the ocean seeks another drop,
Who, falling there to find his fellow forth,
Unseen, inquisitive, confounds himself:”
That in the ocean seeks another drop,
Who, falling there to find his fellow forth,
Unseen, inquisitive, confounds himself:”
By the end of the play, through the drama, intrigue and complete
misunderstandings, he does find his “drop of water”, His brother and all ends happily.
I am looking at the inquiry with the same positivity and the understanding that
sometimes, things do not go to plan. I need to ride out the storm and
eventually I will figure it all out.
Speaking of water, I feel like I am drowning in literature. Why Russian
dolls? Well, every book I open unravels some more intrigue in a person, idea or
other book! I am quite enjoying swimming amongst the literature, however sooner
or later I need knuckle down and figure out the most relevant to the BAPP. I am
sure that the Literature Review will also help focus my mind and channel this
newly acquired knowledge.
